As you are aware, our area of the country is presently experiencing an outbreak of Coronavirus, known as COVID-19. On March 5th the Washington State Insurance Commissioner mandated that all insured health plans waive co-insurance, copayments, and deductibles that would be applied against the cost of COVID-19 testing. Additional mandates included allowing a one-time early refill for prescription drugs and suspending prior authorization requirements that would apply to treatment or testing of COVID-19.
